Peace Pole Update
Dear Parents, Due to the current weather forecast, and the fact that Bibb county is under a Tornado watch until 4:00 pm, the Peace Pole presentations will be held in the classrooms. Please go to your child(ren)'s classroom(s) to see their presentation. Presentations will begin promptly at the following times: Toddler: 11:40 am Primary: 11:45 am Lower Elementary: 11:30 am Upper Elementary & Middle Years: 11:15 am - Presentations for both classrooms will be held in the Upper Elementary Classroom.
Peace Pole Presentations
Due to the current weather forecast for tomorrow, the Peace Pole presentations will most likely be in the classrooms instead of outside. We will have a definite decision made by 10:00 am tomorrow morning. We will post on our website, on our Facebook page as well as send out an email blast letting you know if the presentations are outside or in the classrooms. If the presentations are outside, all classrooms will present together and it will begin promptly at 11:00 am. If the presentations are inside, please go to your child(ren)’s classroom to see their presentation. Presentations will begin at the following times: Toddler: 11:40 am Primary: 11:45 am Lower Elementary: 11:30 am Upper Elementary & Middle Years: 11:15 am– Presentation for Both held in Upper Elementary Classroom. As a reminder, if you plan on eating pizza with your child and staying for lunch you must send in your pizza order with money by 9:00 am with your child. Pizza is $1 per slice with an option of cheese or pepperoni. If you have any questions, please call the office at 757-8927. Thank you.

Financial Aid Applications Available
Financial Aid Applications for the upcoming 2012-2013 school year are now available. Paper copies are available in the office or an electronic copy can be downloaded by clicking on the link below. Financial Aid Applications are due in the office by March 1st at 4:00 pm. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this deadline. Please contact the office with any additional questions. Open House, Sunday January 29th 1:00-3:00
On January 29th from 1:00-3:00 pm we will host an Open House for new families interested in enrolling for the 2012/2013 school year. We encourage you to invite your co-workers, friends, neighbors, and family that may be interested in our school. This is a wonderful opportunity for members of the Macon community to see our school and learn more about the programs we offer.
Tour of Lessons, This Thursday, January 19th
This Thursday, January 19th, Montessori of Macon will present the Tour of Lessons. Students have worked very hard to bring you this program and are excited about showing their families what they work on each day at school. Toddler and Primary families are invited to see lessons demonstrated by their children in their child's classroom from 6:00-6:30 pm. Then, from 6:30-7:30 ALL MOM families are invited to see lessons presented by students in the Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, and Middle Years classrooms. Please join us as we show our lessons...and lots of Montessori Materials! This is an All Student/All Parent Event! See you there!!
Montessori of Macon's Winter Performance, Dec. 3rd at 10:00 am, at the Cox Capitol Theatre
Our Winter Performance is this Saturday, December 3rd, 10:00 am at the Cox Capitol Theatre. Students from Primary through Middle are involved. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors...all are invited. Admission is free. We look forward to seeing you there! (Remember, students are arriving early to rehearse)
Middle/High School Informational Meeting, November 15th at 6:30 pm
If you haven't heard, Montessori of Macon will be adding a tenth grade in the 2012-2013 school year, with eleventh and twelfth grades to follow. That is right...a high school! All parents are invited to attend this meeting. Come and learn about what a Montessori of Macon High School will look like! Topics discussed will include credits offered, extra-curricular activities such as academic and honor clubs, sports, service hour requirements, joint or early enrollment with area colleges, college counseling, and much more. It is never too early to start thinking about high school, so we welcome parents of children all ages.
This Thursday, October 20th, is Language Night! Join us for a fun filled evening of learning. Teachers have prepared presentations on language development, preparation for reading, grammar lessons, reading comprehension, and much much more. It's that time again!! The annual Pansy Sale has started! Orders should be submitted to the office by October 12th along with payment. Ask friends, relatives, neighbors, ext. to order some of these beautiful flowers! This is one of two annual fundraisers for the school.
