It's Pansy Sale Time!

It's that time again!! The annual Pansy Sale has started! Orders should be submitted to the office by October 14th along with payment. Ask friends, relatives, neighbors, ext. to order some of these beautiful flowers. This is one of two annual fundraisers for the school. Don't miss out! Place your orders now! Pansy Sale Order Form

Annual General Meeting September 3rd, 5:45-6:45 p.m.

Montessori of Macon will hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 3rd in the Middle/High classroom. The purpose of this meeting is to present our Annual Report, elect members for our Board of Directors, and to discuss areas of focus for the 15-16 school year. During this meeting we will elect new Board of Director members. This Year we have 2 positions on our Board of Directors open for election. Attached to the Monday Messenger (8/10/15) you will find the applications that have been submitted. Please review this information in preparation for the upcoming AGM. This meeting is for adults only. If you need childcare for the AGM, you still have time to reserve space by calling or emailing the office ( Childcare is available to currently enrolled students only.

Planning for College Dual Enrollment/Financial Aid Opportunities August 20th 6-7 p.m.

Did you know high school students could earn college credit while in high school? Did you know there is a program that will pay the cost of tuition for those college classes? Join us Thursday, August 20th to learn about Dual Enrollment for high school students as well as Financial Aid options. It is never too early to get a head start on college planning! Even if your student is not yet in high school this is a great informational session that will give you a glimpse of what will be available to your student in the future. Maggie Schuyler from Middle Georgia State University will be discussing the changes to the Dual Enrollment program, if you attended our Financial Aid/Dual Enrollment night last year, you will want to hear what is NEW this year! Maggie will be speaking to parents about the HOPE program: HOPE scholarship, Zell Miller scholarship, HOPE grant, and Zell Miller grant. She will also talk about the student access loan opportunities through GSFC. The basics of financial aid and how to properly plan for the costs of college will also be covered. Do you know the GPA requirements to be eligible for these scholarships? Come and find out on Thursday night! This meeting will be held in the Middle/High classroom. See you there!
