Montessori of Macon is the only Montessori school in Middle Georgia which is accredited by the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS). Listed below are the dates/ times for our upcoming classroom Parent Orientations: Toddler 1 & 2 - July 9th 5:30 p.m. - 6:30p.m., Primary 1 & 2 - July 11th 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Lower Elem. 1 - July 9th 5:30 p.m., Lower Elem. 2 - July 9th 6:00p.m., Upper Elem - July 16th 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Middle/High July 14th 5:00 p.m.
Graduation & Farewell Celebration - Thursday, May 28th 6:00 pm
Graduation is THIS Thursday, May 28th from 6:00-6:30 p.m. This is a special time for all of our students and families as well as our last celebration as a community before we all embark on our summer adventures. This event is for ALL students. Students who are moving up into a new classroom will receive a certificate and be welcomed by their new classmates. This year, we will also be celebrating the graduation of our first MOM senior. You do not want to miss this event! At 6:30 p.m. we will have a Farewell Celebration to honor Ms. Elizabeth’s retirement. Following this celebration, you are invited to stay and enjoy food and good company. Plates are available for those who have pre-ordered. If you haven’t pre-ordered a plate you are welcome to bring a picnic dinner and join us.
Middle/High Performance of Macbeth - Thursday, May 21st 6:30 pm
Thursday, May 21st at 6:30 p.m. the Middle/High students will be performing their rendition of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free! The performance will be held at the Douglass Theatre - 355 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd Macon, GA 31201. A word of caution: because of the dark nature of this play it may not be suitable for younger students. There will be sword fighting onstage and mention of murder throughout the play.
